Whether it’s a wedding invitation or a corporate welcome pack, design begins with intention. I ask: What story are we telling? What emotion should linger when the envelope is opened? From there, I layer typography, texture, and tone to echo that feeling—elegant, modern, whimsical, or bold.
But beauty alone isn’t enough. A stunning invitation that confuses guests or a website that dazzles but doesn’t convert misses the mark. That’s why I design with clarity at the core. Every flourish has a reason. Every layout is tested for flow.
Function isn’t just about usability—it’s about empathy. It’s knowing that a couple juggling RSVPs needs a suite that’s easy to navigate. That a brand launching a new product deserves packaging that feels intuitive and elevated. That your guests, clients, or readers should feel gently guided, never overwhelmed.
I consider:
Hierarchy: What should catch the eye first?
Legibility: Is the font readable across print and screen?
Format: Will this piece hold up in humidity, travel, or digital sharing?
Experience: How does it feel to hold, open, or scroll?
The magic lies in the merge. When a vellum overlay softens bold typography. When gold foil adds just enough drama to a minimalist suite. When a website’s navigation feels like a quiet conversation. That’s where beauty and function meet—and that’s where I live.
